Phytomem One Review: What It Is, What It Costs and Where to Buy It

Our score 2.8/5 Below average How we score

This is our independent review of Phytomem One, a one-a-day supplement sold online to adults worried about memory lapses and brain fog. It sums up its ten ingredients, which of them have any memory research, the microplastics story it is sold on, who should avoid it, what it costs and how the refund works. Phytomem One in 30 seconds

What it isA one-a-day tablet with ten named ingredients, including saffron, berberine, Ceylon cinnamon and seaweed extracts, and no published amounts.
How you take itOne a day with food. A bottle of 30 lasts a month.
What is goodSaffron has small memory trials, every ingredient is named, and the order page is calm with clear prices.
Weak or missing evidenceMost ingredients are for blood sugar or weight, not memory, and the saffron dose is unknown.
Watch out forBerberine, which interacts with diabetes medicines and many other drugs, and is not for pregnancy.

✅ Pros

  • Contains saffron, the one ingredient here with memory trials: small studies in Alzheimer’s disease found 30 mg a day did about as well as standard drugs.
  • All ten ingredients are named and the seller lists its references, so its claims can be checked.
  • One a day with food, a one-time payment and no subscription.
  • Prices are clearly listed, with free US shipping on three or six bottles and no countdown timer on the order page.

❌ Cons

  • No label and no amounts, so the dose of saffron, the one memory ingredient, is unknown.
  • Most ingredients - berberine, cinnamon, banaba, olive leaf, kudzu and Moro orange - are blood sugar or weight ingredients with no memory trials.
  • Sold on a microplastics story; no study shows any supplement removes plastics from the brain.
  • No Supplement Facts label is shown, and even the format is muddled: the bottle pictured says 30 tablets, the FAQ says capsule.
  • No single bottle: the smallest order is two bottles for $158 plus shipping.
  • The refund policy is stricter than the sales page: 60 days from delivery, every bottle returned at your own cost, minus shipping fees.
  • Berberine can interact with diabetes medicines and many other drugs, and should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What Phytomem One says is in each tablet

The page lists ten ingredients in three groups, with no amounts and no Supplement Facts label:

Moro orange (Morosil)Amount not givenA weight-loss ingredient, tested at 400 mg a day.
  • “Cellular Defense Matrix”: saffron extract, fucoxanthin and fucoidan (both from brown seaweed), and oleuropein from olive leaf.
  • “Brain Fuel & Vitality Complex”: berberine HCl, Ceylon cinnamon, corosolic acid from banaba leaf, and kudzu flower extract.
  • “Neural Amplifier System”: Morosil, a Moro blood orange extract, and xylitol.

Even the format is unclear. The bottle pictured on the sales page is labelled 30 tablets, and the page describes easy-to-take tablets, but its FAQ says one capsule a day. Either way, one small daily dose is shared between ten ingredients.

A memory product made mostly of blood sugar ingredients

Look past the group names and a pattern appears. Only one of the ten ingredients has been tested for memory in people:

People with type 2 diabetes do have a higher risk of dementia, and the page leans on that link. But no trial has shown that these blood sugar ingredients protect memory, and a single tablet is very unlikely to hold the 1,000–1,500 mg of berberine used in blood sugar trials.

What the research shows, at a glance

Phytomem One itself has never been tested in a published study, so these ratings are for its ingredients, from the studies in our full review:

Saffron for memorySome: five small trials, mostly in Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment
Berberine for blood sugarModerate, at 1,000–1,500 mg a day, but no memory trials
Moro orange for weightOne trial at 400 mg a day; nothing on memory
The other seven for memoryNone: no memory trials in people
Phytomem One itselfNever tested in a published study
  • Saffron: a 2020 systematic review found five small randomised trials (325 people), four of them in people with Alzheimer’s disease or mild cognitive impairment. At 30 mg a day, saffron did better than placebo on cognitive tests and about as well as the drugs donepezil and memantine, but the trials were small, and there is very little research in people without memory problems.
  • Berberine: modest but consistent evidence for lowering blood sugar and cholesterol in type 2 diabetes.
  • Morosil: a six-month trial in overweight adults found 400 mg a day led to more weight loss than placebo, 4.2% against 2.2% of body weight.
  • Cinnamon, banaba and olive leaf: small human studies on blood sugar, with mixed results; none tested memory.
  • Kudzu, fucoxanthin and fucoidan: the references offered are a mouse study, a laboratory cell study and a paper on lazy eye.

The seller’s reference list has eleven links, one of them twice. None is a study of memory in people taking any of these ingredients; the saffron trial it cites tested depression and food cravings.

The microplastics story

Phytomem One is promoted with a story about plastic in the brain. The seller’s own affiliate page calls it a “Toxic Brain Shards angle” built on “a shocking microplastics discovery story”.

The story starts from a real study. In 2025, researchers at the University of New Mexico reported tiny, shard-like plastic fragments in brain tissue from people who had died, more in samples from 2024 than from 2016, and more again in people who had been diagnosed with dementia.

That study measured plastic, not memory. It found an association with dementia but did not show that the plastics cause memory loss, and it did not test any way of removing them. No study has shown that any supplement, including these ten ingredients, removes microplastics from the brain.

Who should avoid it, or ask first

  • Diabetes medicines: berberine, cinnamon, banaba and olive leaf can all lower blood sugar, so together they could add to the effect of diabetes medication.
  • Other medicines: berberine slows liver enzymes that break down many drugs, so it can raise their levels. Ask a pharmacist if you take anything regularly.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: berberine should not be used, because it can cause or worsen jaundice in newborns.
  • Stomach: berberine commonly causes stomach upset, constipation or diarrhoea.
  • Dogs: xylitol is highly toxic to dogs, so keep the bottle out of their reach.

Because none of the amounts is published, you cannot work out how much berberine you would be taking, which is the main reason to check with a pharmacist first.

When memory problems need a doctor

Memory lapses are common and often harmless, but new or worsening problems deserve a doctor’s visit, because many causes are treatable:

Blood testsThyroid problems and low vitamin B12 can both affect memory and are easy to treat.
MoodDepression and anxiety often show up as poor concentration and forgetfulness.
SleepSleep apnoea and poor sleep make memory and attention worse.
MedicinesSome sleeping pills, allergy and bladder medicines can cause brain fog.

For protecting memory over the long term, regular exercise, good sleep, and treating hearing loss and high blood pressure have far stronger evidence than any supplement. Our memory supplements guide explains what the research shows.

Sudden confusion, trouble speaking, a drooping face or weakness on one side can be a stroke. Call emergency services straight away.

How Phytomem One is marketed

The order page itself is calm, with clear prices and no countdown timer. The wider sales funnel is less careful:

  • The video: its footer says visuals “may feature recreated or AI-assisted representations” and that names have been changed, so the people shown may not be real customers.
  • “Trusted by thousands”: nothing on the page supports the figure.
  • Organic wording: the ingredients are said to be handled under the USDA organic programme in a certified facility, without naming the facility or saying the product itself is certified organic.
  • Who is behind it: no company, doctor or researcher is named.
  • After checkout: the seller’s affiliate page shows further offers after you pay; you can decline them.

Which package makes sense?

There is no single bottle. Two bottles cost $158 ($79 each) plus a shipping fee, which the shipping policy puts at $9.95 for smaller US orders. Three bottles cost $177 ($59 each) and six cost $294 ($49 each), both with free US shipping. Every package includes three digital bonus guides, it is a one-time payment, and the “savings” shown are worked out from a $99 reference price nobody pays.

  • Two bottles ($167.95 with shipping) last 60 days, the same as the refund window, so you would have to decide before finishing them.
  • Three bottles ($177) cost only $9 more than two with shipping, and ship free.
  • Six bottles ($294) are the cheapest per bottle, but commit you to half a year of a formula whose saffron dose is unknown.

The two best-known saffron trials ran for 16 and 22 weeks, longer than the 60-day refund window. If saffron is what interests you, a plain saffron extract with a stated 30 mg dose matches the trials more closely.

How to take it, if you try it

  • The dose: one a day with food, which may help with berberine’s stomach side effects.
  • Read the bottle on arrival: look for a label with amounts, especially for berberine and saffron.
  • Check with a pharmacist first if you take diabetes medicines or anything else regularly.
  • Keep the bottles: the refund needs every item sent back, so do not throw away empties.
  • Stop if you get stomach upset, dizziness or signs of low blood sugar, such as shakiness or sweating.
